Job description
We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Senior Field Application Engineer to collaborate closely with our existing and potential customer base. In this role you’ll be the first point of contact for a customer’s technical inquiries where you will need to analyse the technical requirements and develop solutions and strategies to provide exceptional customer support. You will also provide technical consultation and train customer engineers towards best practice when using business products and solutions. As the Senior FAE you will also be responsible coordinating and managing the workload within the FAE team and providing feedback directly to management.
Your skills and experience will include:
Essential:
- Engineering degree, technical discipline or industry experience (Automotive, Electrical, Electronics or embedded hardware).
- 2- 3 years of experience of in-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Ethernet.
- 2- 3 years of experience of network level testing tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, Bus Master.
- Industry experience of vehicle diagnostics (KWP, UDS, OBD).
- Industry experience with programming languages such as C, C# or python.
- Positive Can-Do attitude
- Proficient in English for both written and spoken communication.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally within Europe.
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Industry experience of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing systems such as VT System, dSpace or NI.
- Experience with automotive embedded control systems, understanding of embedded software and CI/CD workflow.
- Working knowledge or experience of Automotive Cyber Security.
- Working knowledge or experience with simulation environments such at MATLAB Simulink.
- Working knowledge or experience with automotive actuators, sensors and data buses.
