Job Description

Senior Finance Business Partner - London

We are working with an established investor with not only an impressive existing asset base, but also with an appetite and intention to continue to grow their UK portfolio. As part of this growth, an exciting opening has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to lead a newly formed division within their accounting and finance department.

How has the opportunity come about?

The company anticipates significant growth over the next five years, with ambitious plans to double their assets under management. As a result, the CFO has restructured the finance team to enable clear progression opportunities and this newly formed role, heading up the business partnering division, will be crucial to the company’s future success.

What can this role offer that I won’t find at other companies?

This is a unique opportunity to join a company with, not only significant capital to invest, but also with plans to maintain their position as a leading presence within the commercial investment space.

Within this position you will play a crucial role between the accounts function and the asset management team, liaising with key stakeholders across the business to ensure collaboration is maintained.

The company prides themselves in developing and nurturing talent at all levels and the CFO actively encourages all of his team to fulfil their potential. So if you have ambitions to become a future FD, this will be aided and assisted within the position.

How has the company been impacted by Covid over the last year?

Fortunately, due to the nature of their assets, the business has not been impacted significantly by the recent pandemic, boasting an impressive rent collection rate of 98%.

As a leader in the industrial and logistics space currently, they have been fortunate to hold assets that have continued to grow in value and demand over recent years.

What are they looking for in a potential candidate?

A track record of management and team leadership experience is essential for this position, as the successful candidate will be leading a team of both qualified and part-qualified accountants.

Due to the nature of the role and assets, you require significant financial business partnering experience within the real estate sector, either residential or commercial.

The chosen candidate will be leading a team that will include qualified accountants with strong business partnering experience, therefore our client will only consider candidates with at least five years post-qualification experience.

What do the company offer in terms of remuneration and benefits?

As well as a competitive salary and a generous bonus package, the company also boasts a host of benefits including:

  • Training and development sponsorship to aid career progression
  • Private medical insurance, income protection and life assurance schemes
  • Home-working allowance to invest in your work-from-home environment
  • Substantial holiday allowance as well as additional holiday purchase scheme

The company has always offered flexible working as a business, even prior to recent events. Working from home is something that they have embraced and are willing to offer the successful candidate a balance of working-from-home alongside office and site based days when necessary.

How do I apply for the position and what will the process be?

If you feel as though you are the right fit for the position then please feel free apply, alternatively if you would like to know more about the company then contact Joseph Morris at deverellsmith for more information.

The interview process will consist of three stages and all interviews will be held virtually with HR, the CFO and other key stakeholders you would be liaising with outside of the finance team.
