My client, a leading Higher Education Institution now has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. Please note; this role offers hybrid working with a 50/50 split between home-working and on-site working in central London.

As Senior HR Business Partner you will play a high profile role in the HR Business Partnering team and wider HR team to lead, inspire, coach and collaborate with colleagues to successfully deliver an exceptional HR and business partnering service to your specific client group. As a senior member of the HR team and an expert HR Professional, you will adopt an agile approach to working in teams as you deploy the long term People Strategy, whilst developing relationships and influencing decision making within your client groups through an evidence based approach. The core focus of your role will be on:

  • organisational and people capability building
  • longer term resource and talent management planning
  • using business insights to drive change in people management practices
  • leading and advising on the people implications of organisation change

This role requires an experienced and established HR Business Partner with a highly proactive approach, a willingness to drive improvements and challenge behaviours and who can provide a professional consultancy service on all HR related issues and activities. With multiple Directors to support, you will be expected to deal effectively with a large, complex client group on a wide range of business issues and offer advice, coaching and support to less experienced colleagues. You’ll also act as an employee champion and change agent, anticipating developmental needs and working in partnership with managers and colleagues within the wider HR Team to drive evidence based solutions working.

To be considered you will also require:

  • CIPD qualified (MCIPD) with demonstrable experience of working as an HR Business Partner at a strategic level in a large, complex, unionised organisation
  • Proven working knowledge and experience of contemporary approaches to Business Planning, Workforce Planning, Strategic Resourcing, Capability Management, Change Management and Employee Engagement
  • Experience and understanding of organisational design and developing new delivery models
  • Expert coaching skills and with significant experience of supporting senior stakeholders
  • Excellent influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships with trust, credibility and confidence quickly through a high level of emotional intelligence
