Senior IT Business Manager

Job purpose - major duties and responsibilities of the job
The office of the CIO is a small team with a large remit – responsible for IT governance, strategy and business management across the IT division. This role is critical within the team to provide business management across IT.
Operational
- Define and track key performance indicators which show progress against achievement of the IT Strategy
- Execute IT governance, including supporting in weekly IT Management Groups
- Provide support to the IT Leadership for prep for key meetings, including Board meetings, sub-committees, and CLS internal governance meetings
- Own IT internal communications, developing and executing a communications strategy and plan
- Manage the business continuity plan for the Office of the CIO
Strategic
- Lead on defining key topics within the IT Strategy, engaging across IT leadership to define a vision and roadmap
- Develop and maintain the strategic narrative for IT
- Liaise with Office of the CEO to ensure the IT Strategy remains aligned to the Corporate Strategy, and provide inputs into Corporate Strategy
Leadership
- Provide leadership across strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring direction remains aligned to the Strategy
Knowledge, skills and abilities - competencies required for successful job performance
- Exceptional communication skills – able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional written and presentation skills – able to produce memos and slides suitable for executive and board level meetings
- Stakeholder engagement – experienced in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, driving consensus around an outcome/recommendation
- CLS internal knowledge – knowledgeable about internal processes across CLS, and able to navigate governance effectively
- Strategic thinking – strong understanding of strategic direction, with experience in
