Senior Principal Architect
Hybrid London office (1-2 times per week in office, flexible)
Up to £145k DOE 15% bonus 14% pension

What will I be doing?
Supporting the heads of digital, and working alongside Principal Engineers, you will drive technical excellence and lead from the front by setting an example. You will provide guidance and education to the engineering teams on how to build industry beating solutions.
Within the first 12 months you will deliver advice and design guidance to a 400+ strong engineering team. You will have written diagrams, architectural artifacts and white papers to help the team understand your plans.
Education, guidance and advising will play a big part of your role. You'll also work with lead engineers and product owners to ensure that the strategy, compliance and security goals are being integrated.
This is a small team with a big impact, working across teams meaning you'll have exposure to a wide range of the business.
Ideal experience:
- Cloud native, PaaS architecture (Azure strong preference)
- Strong programming skills, they're mostly .NET but also have bits of Java, Mobile and JavaScript teams
- Experience within a regulated industry (eg finance, betting & gaming)
- Experience architecting distributed systems and APIs
- Experience with Event Driven Architecture
- People person, strong communication skills are a MUST here
Nice to have:
- Consumer lending industry experience
Location: London office 1-2 times per week, flexible
Salary & benefits:
- Up to £145k + 15% bonus
- 26 days leave increasing 2 days after 2 years service + a day per year after that max at 30 days (4 years 30 days)
