Job Description

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Project Manager to join my client, a friendly firm of building construction consultants in the City of London.

You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects for retail, leisure, hospitality and other construction projects from feasibility through delivery on site.

Projects generally valued up to around £75m.

You will oversee the management and service delivery of multiple projects from feasibilty through delivery and handover to client and you will be responsible for an Assistant Project Manager when required.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management services to private and corporate clients.

They have two UK offices and service clients within the UK and internationally.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Senior Project Manager in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You must have run high value construction projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be fully conversant with the initial phases of projects including project set up and be able to run projects during both pre contract and post contract stages.

You will have gained experience of programme management and had experience in the use of MS Project.

You will be able to manage the feasibility, design and implementation of projects on behalf of Clients and to develop business opportunities when appropriate.

You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.

You will ideally be chartered with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA or similar in the construction industry.

You should have experience of using JCT contracts.

Have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £60000 to £70000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
