At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Risk Analyst Shipping within ETB in London. You will be responsible for participating in improving the ETRM system to capture the freight exposures of the company to support the development of the shipping business model.

As a member of the CFO department at ETB, you will be responsible for :

• Prepare and explain shipping P&L and risk reports and follow up on any issues with relevant teams;

• Ensure that all risk limits are adhered to and assist in implementing new limits when necessary;

• Assist in identifying the significant risk within the business, ensuring that they are transparent to senior management

• Maintain a good knowledge of the current freight and physical oil market;

• Support the development of the shipping business model;

• Participate in the enhancement and development of ETRM systems;

• Assist in defining forward curve methodologies for accurate mark-to-market of the freight exposure;

• Contribute to the month and quarter-end activities with Back Office/Accounting;

• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with different functions, e.g FO, Chartering, Operations, Chattering, Claims, BO, IT, Planning & Control;

• Strong daily cooperation with other market risk teams and promote knowledge sharing between teams

• Guarantee compliance for trading procedures with relevant controls and support when necessary for internal and external audit requests;

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements :

• University degree in economics, finance and / or engineering discipline.

• Proven experience in a market risk role from trading companies, shipbrokers or banks;

• Strong knowledge of the shipping industry and freight markets, a solid understanding of pricing mechanisms, supply and demand balance, ship operations and logistics etc.

• Good Knowledge of the physical oil markets and the relationship with freight markets

• Advanced knowledge of risk metrics such as VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis;

• Knowledge of one or more ETRM systems would be an advantage (Endur, Symphony by Amphora).

• Python, MATLAB & SQL knowledge a plus;

• Good knowledge of English
