Job Description
A growing company who provide location-based solutions to some of the biggest brands in Transportation, Travel, Real Estate and Financial Services firms across Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia are hiring a Senior Software Engineer!
Based in Bath, England with offices in London, Malaga, and Singapore, the company builds and distributes a range of innovative products and services such as a MRS for banks as well as location-based services such as Route Maps, Journey Planners, City Guides optimised with Google Maps APIs and cloud-based technologies.
Their transaction enrichment product, MRS, helps clients create compelling consumer experiences by cleaning up messy payment information and showing instead clear merchant names, logos, and categories. MRS also enables their clients to show their consumers where each transaction took place, visualise their spending habits, and use new features such as merchant ESG tags and subscription management.
As a small, profitable, and privately-held company, they are keen to expand its team. They are looking for talented people to join our unique, international team - people who want to have a big impact not only on the future direction and growth of the company but across the broader industry and touch the lives of millions of consumers through their partnerships with Google, Visa and expanding customer base.
Role Responsibilities:
Definition, delivery, and ownership of a product or service that serves millions of users (B2B, Saas)
Defining and managing platforms in terms of Architecture
Working closely with product teams as part of a distributed and agile team
Helping Product managers to refine development tasks so that they are clear
Testing to ensure that software works as expected and is robust ? Doing code reviews on work done by other members of the team
Deploying code to test and production environments
Quickly identifying and fixing issues that impact customers
Continuously improving the speed and quality of their software delivery by making suggestions at team retrospectives
Skills they are looking for:
Typescript, JavaScript, Git
Working in a B2B or Saas environment
Experience in Financial Services or Travel/Transportation (eg. working inside or providing a product to companies in those sectors)
MongoDB, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Google Cloud Platform, JEST/testing frameworks
Some knowledge of Machine Learning/ AI skills desirable, but not required
