Job title: Senior Systems Engineer x5

We are for looking for multiple Senior System Engineers to work on all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle from System Concept through to Delivery and Acceptance.
Job Functions (Essential)
- Involved in all stages of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including System Concept, Delivery, Acceptance, Bid Support, System Design, Integration, Verification, and Customer Acceptance.
- Responsible for specifying, developing, integrating, verifying, and accepting systems for both Internal and External Customers.
- Ability to collaborate with individuals from different disciplines, organizations, and nationalities on a daily basis to address the systems engineering aspects of projects.
- Actively contribute to the definition, realization, and validation of new products, emphasizing innovation and cutting-edge technology.
- Manage stakeholders throughout the system lifecycle through proactive communication.
- Create technical documentation for both technical and non-technical readership.
- Regular travel within the UK and overseas is a standard feature of this role.
- Any other tasks associated with this role.
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in systems design, integration & test.
- Understanding of Systems and Product lifecycles from concept through to delivery.
- Familiarity with a range of Engineering disciplines (Software, Mechanical, and Electrical).
- Strong inter-personal skills with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
- Flexibility to apply skills and knowledge across different projects and products.
- Computer literate with proficient written English for technical proposals, specifications, and reports.
- Willingness to travel (Note: While the role is based at our Enfield premises, business travel may be required depending on project needs).
- Degree (or equivalent) qualified in an engineering or science discipline.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Understanding of Radar Systems (desirable, but not essential if other complementary skills are demonstrated).
- Whole product lifecycle experience (concept generation, concept demonstration, development, production, and in-service support).
- Experience working with and developing systems using communication protocols (e.g., RS485, RS232, TCP-IP, Canbus, etc.).
- Experience in product development for Naval Platforms.
- Experience working on or with Navigation equipment.
- Leadership skills for managing multi-skilled engineering teams.
- Ability to deliver engineering packages of work to time, cost, and quality.
- Membership in a Professional Engineering Institution (e.g., IMechE, IET, INCOSE).
- UK Security clearance.
- UK Driving License.
Physical Attributes
- Ability to walk 300-400 meters with a toolkit, possible weight of 10 Kilos.
- Ability to climb the equivalent of 10 flights of stairs, potentially followed by 10 meters on a ladder.
- Able to work at heights, possibly up to 40 meters.
- Ability to harness oneself to the mast and commence service activities.
- Ability to work in tight spaces, requiring twisting and maneuvering of the body.
