Group Financial Consolidation Systems Accountant

Location: Bristol area - Hybrid working
Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum
A large organisation is currently undergoing a new systems implementation and are looking for a Systems Accountant to become the SME of the new Reporting tool.
The Systems Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the Group Financial Consolidations System and support the Group Financial Reporting team in various duties related to monthly and year end reporting and audits. The role is also the lead on maintaining the chart of accounts, cost centres, account mapping and coordination of changes through the relevant steering committee. Further down the line, the role will evolve and this person will be responsible for enhancing and optimising the solution.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join this company at this stage of their new EPM implementation journey. This role would suit a Management Accountant or Senior Finance Systems Analyst currently the SME of a Group reporting application who enjoys the technology side of their role and would like to further develop their skill sets within a finance systems role.
To be considered for the role:
- Strong accounting background – Qualification would be ideal ACA, ACCA, ACMA FCCA or CIMA
- Sound knowledge of finance consolidation and reporting processes
- Familiar with Data reconciliation, management and UAT testing
- Previous experience of supporting and/or developing a finance application ideally an EPM tool such as Oracle EPM, Hyperion Planning or HFM, SAP BPC , TM1.. . or any other ERP applications; You will be given the opportunity to cross train into OneStream
- Stakeholder Management skillsets
- Excellent communicator
- Proficiency in Excel at advanced level, SQL server would be a plus
