About the Role

Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £67,506 - £78,474 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Flexible First options available

As Service Delivery Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering IT services within SSEN Transmission business. SSEN Transmission is responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own, operate, and develop the 132kV, 275kV, 400kV and HVDC electricity transmission network in our licence area. As part of Transmission's RIIO T-2 price control an exciting programme of Digital Transformation is planned with a significant investment being made in these technologies over the next 5 years.

You'll act as the interface between key business stakeholders and the IT organisation to ensure delivery of key IT services. It's an essential role to ensure the high level of service and technology delivery required by the business and involves managing key suppliers to ensure consistent and quality delivery.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

- Accountability for the Operational Services for all direct production IT and network services, managing service providers to deliver SLA's and Key Performance Indicators.

- Developing and maintaining effective commercial and service management of external suppliers, including monitoring of all direct contractual agreements: financial, term and conditions of use.

- Owning customer satisfaction measurements and reporting including driving improvements using recognised satisfaction metrics.

- Ensuring services are compliant: GDPR, Security and Resilience working within the Group Policies and risk appetite.

- Providing strategic direction to the service providers, in support of departmental and company goals and targets.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Significant experience of working in IT at a management level with strong leadership experience in IT Service Delivery and Service Management - aligned to a framework like ITIL.

- Experience of dealing with in-sourced, partner and outsourced resources, both off and on shore.

- Diverse commercial, financial, contract and supplier management experience.

- Excellent effective stakeholder management including excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.

- Significant experience of the SSEN Transmission business and its key operational processes (desirable)
