SOC Analyst – 6-month contract – Warwick – Onsite – Inside IR35
My client is a global organisation who are urgently looking for SOC Analyst to join an existing team for an initial 6-month engagement. This SOC Analyst role offers hybrid working. (2 days minimum onsite).
This SOC Analyst role will involve both BAU and Project base work within a SOC Team and be responsible for building reports and dashboards – using Azure Sentinel as their chosen SIEM tool.
SOC Analyst requirements:
- SIEM Experience – Ideally Azure Sentinel, other SIEM tools are considered.
- Experience with Specific Security Monitoring Tools e.g. Darktrace, LogRhythm, F5, Qualys, Rapid7 etc
- AI/Monitoring Tools – Ideally Darktrace
- Experience with Crowdstrike or other endpoint security tools
- Vulnerability management exposure – ideally Rapid7 or Nessus.
SOC Analyst Responsibilities:
- Monitoring our SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) tool to detect suspicious events and abnormal activities, triage events for criticality.
- Providing incident management through effective monitoring, reporting and technical guidance for successful resolution
- Documenting and managing incident cases to utilise information for reports to provide insight and intelligent recommendations.
- Engage with Stakeholders.
- Use policy guidance in security models, software, tools, and standards - NIST / ISO27001 / ISO27005
This SOC Analyst position could suit somebody who is looking for a part time role – 3 / 4 days a week.
The successful SOC analyst will be exposed to the latest technology and will enter an environment to expand their knowledge and skillset.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right SOC Analyst to join an organisation initially on 6-month contract but has the view to extend.
