Murray McIntosh has partnered with an exciting and fast-growing technology start-up business in Reading who are looking for a Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive to both lead and support on many digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.

As their Social Media Executive, you will work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and Brand Manager to plan, create and deliver varied social and digital marketing activities and campaigns to grow brand awareness and maximise revenue generation.

Though the company is based in Reading, many of the team are based further afield. They would require a minimum of 1 day in the office during the week.

In your first few weeks in this Marketing Executive role, you can expect to:

  • Manage and deliver the day-to-day calendar of activity across all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter in line with business objectives
  • Plan exciting campaigns well ahead of key reveals, events, and launches
  • Explore, test, and learn how to use and maximise channel features, new technologies and trends to increase reach and engagement
  • Demonstrate proactivity when it comes to the community management of channels to ensure continuous and timely positive brand engagement, keeping our followers happy


To apply for this Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive role, you will need a minimum of 1 year experience in social media and digital marketing. You will also require the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, managing a busy workload and multiple projects at one time
  • Proven experience in working with and managing a website CMS
  • Experience working with Google Analytics or experience using an analytics platform or social analytics tool
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to craft compelling copy, with excellent attention to detail
