We leverage our team’s defence experience and technology expertise with cross-industry partnerships in the field of advanced maritime engineering. Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.

Responsibilities include:
- Software development in C++, in line with the system requirements, including prototyping, design and implementation of new functionality
- Test-driven development
- Deployment, testing and validation, during FAT and sea trials
- Production of comprehensive software documentation
- Working flexibly with the software and engineering teams to ensure software and documentation are delivered on time
- Working to the highest safety standards for software development, test and validation
- Working collaboratively with established partner organisations to deliver robust integration of test plans within defined timelines
Skills and experience:
Required:
- Degree level qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar
- Software development experience in C++ (academic, industry or personal)
- Fast learner and a team player
Desirable:
- Software development in modern C++
- General understanding of closed loop control
- Experience with ROS2
- Experience with mobile robotics projects
- An understanding of basic electronics
- Any exposure to PLC programming
- A proactive individual with strong commitment and self-motivation
- Willingness to embrace innovation and creativity
