Software Engineer (ReactJS)
Yeovil
6 months initially
£50ph outside IR35
The Front End (ReactJS) Software Engineer is responsible for:
• Bringing specialist knowledge of the React toolset to help drive a technology modernisation of the existing applications, actively engaging with others sharing knowledge and experience.
• Analysing and implementing of system requirements.
• Delivering work packages that meets schedule and quality requirements
• Pro-actively promoting efficiency and quality improvements within an agile environment
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Specialist
• Proficient in implementing ReactJS frontend web applications capable of managing state and data validation effectively.
• Familiar with principals of utilising and maintaining a common library of UI components using applications (e.g. Storybook).
• Experienced in utilising API's, including both REST and GraphQL.
• Ability to distil a requirement, plan the implementation using design patterns (e.g. material.io) to deliver intuitive and engaging interfaces.
• Ability to design and document complex solutions with familiarity of atomic design principals.
• Proficient use of version control systems and branching strategies.
• Support the adoption of CI / CD practices through the development of appropriate unit tests
• Understanding of networks, systems and security requirements.

• Produce the necessary documentation for the software to enable the QA and support teams to operate effectively.
• Actively contribute to team meetings (daily stand-ups, project reviews and retrospectives), demonstrating empathy and understanding and promoting knowledge sharing amongst the team
• Experience in delivering complex software development projects on time and to budget
• Methodical, structured and organised approach to managing complex issues
• Provide time estimates to complete a task in support of cost analysis / bid preparations.
