We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join our Corporate team in Birmingham.

Our national Corporate & Commercial team is led by 14 Partners and has a presence in our Southampton, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and Taunton offices. In Birmingham, you will be working closely with Partner Kim Klahn where you will be handling a broad range of mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

You will be working with colleagues locally and nationally for a wide range of clients including public and private UK and International companies and their owners in relation to M&A, equity and debt funding and general corporate structuring work. As a national corporate practice there is a good level of interaction and team working between our offices providing additional opportunities to develop your skills and experience.

The range and quality of our caseload makes it an exceptional base to develop your career in corporate law.

You will also be encouraged to take an active involvement in business development activities, building client relationships and helping to grow our already well-regarded practice.

It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

This role is right for you if:

You will be able to show us that you have initiative, drive and great organisational skills. The work requires self-motivation, resilience and strong communication skills, both written and oral.

You will relish helping others and be eager to learn. We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and who will provide a first-class service to our clients, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.

Beyond your technical skills, you will have developed client management skills and have an interest in business development.
