MCS Group is excited to be working alongside a commercial firm in Belfast seeking to recruit a solicitor to join its regulatory team. Our client’s national team handles all facets of defence litigation, including catastrophic injury, motor, casualty, illness, and health and safety. Their clients are well-known corporate companies and significant names in the insurance business.

The Firm
Our client’s market-leading Regulatory Team are specialists in Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) work. They employ over 30 specialist lawyers across a number of key locations, including Belfast, where they looking to expand due to client and case demands.
The work includes advising insurers’ policyholders and corporate clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by a wide range of regulators including the Police, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Local Authorities. The firm deal with all aspects of advice and defence.
The Role
This is a permanent role within the firm’s Belfast Regulatory team.
This role is ideally suited to a solicitor with 1-4 years PQE with experience gained within a criminal, regulatory and/or commercially focused environment.Ideally, but not exclusively, candidates will have experience of advising on regulatory work including - health and safety incident investigations, interviews under caution, prosecutions, environmental breaches, breaches of trading standards, food law and/or fire safety
