Sommelier – New Restaurant Opening

£40,000 - £50,000

The Restaurant:
This is a super exciting new opening coming to London! 35 covers, this is a small intimate service with HUGE ambitions and a fantastic head chef at the helm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and updating the wine list in coordination with chef and General Manager
- Recommending food and wine pairings
- Advising guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices
- Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices
- Developing a world class wine list – respecting the craft but challenging the tradition
- New World, Old World and natural wines
Experience:
- Experience as a Sommelier must exude passion!
- Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings.
- Extensive knowledge of different wines
- Right mix of personality and professionalism
- Ambitious to create something unique
- Minimum WSET level 2 or equivalent
