Claims Adjuster (Specialty Lines)
Job Spec We are looking for a Claims Adjuster to manage Professional Liability, Financial Liability and Cyber claims from cradle to grave. This position works on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in London office) and reports to the Claims Manager directly.
Key Responsibilities - Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine extent of exposure to insured and company
- Directly and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel
- Provide outstanding customer service and build longstanding relationships with insureds, brokers, and partners
- Communicate coverage positions to insureds
- Set and monitor reserves within authority
- Report to reinsurers and other insurance partners
- Support business leaders on an as-needed basis on claims and underwriting related issues
- Attendance at mediations and trials, as necessary
Skills, Experience and Education - A minimum of 2 years' experience as claims adjuster in London market
- Specific experience in handling financial lines and cyber claims
- Knowledge of industry best practices and systems, including ECF
- Strong relational skills, particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently
- Experience of working with Lloyd's/Lloyd's certifications a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; ability to deal with customers and business partners in professional manner
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based on detailed analysis of complex issues
