We require two speech and language therapists to deliver our innovative casework services and related groundbreaking projects in London.

We have one full time role (5 days a week) and one part time (2 days a week) role and are open to discussions about flexible working and different days per week combinations. Both roles are suitable for newly qualified therapists, but if you are more experienced you are certainly welcome to apply.
The SLT roles are advertised at an NHS Band 5 salary which is currently £32,466 pa (pro rata).
The SLTs will visit hostels, day centres, prisons and hospitals to meet people who have communication needs. Sometimes we meet people on the street because that is where they currently live. There is a great deal of partnership work with other healthcare professionals, statutory services, and homelessness organizations. Along with individual casework there are opportunities to deliver training, take part in working groups, and develop services and policy.
We are a small organization with one full time paid staff member, student SLTs on placement, and a range of volunteers. The new SLTs will be expected to help with the overall smooth running of the organization e.g. keeping financial records, completing administrative tasks, supporting volunteers etc.
All clinical work is delivered face to face. It will be necessary to be in the office in central London and on-site meeting clients for most of the week.
If you are a final year SLT student it is possible to complete your Newly Qualified Competencies in this role. SLTs receive regular supervision from their line manager. There are also opportunities to receive external clinical supervision and reflective practice meetings.
