Clinical Assessor NMC Registered - Band 5 - Bank

SOUTH WEST LONDON BANK - Hosted by Croydon Health Services NHS Trust

We now need registered NMC Immunisers, to step forward in the continued effort to deliver an effective immunisation programme across South West London.

We are looking to recruit from our local communities to enable us to provide a safe and effective vaccination programme while continuing to offer timely access and minimal impact on other NHS services.

As a Clinical Assessor for the Immunisations service, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of vaccinations for influenza (flu), COVID-19 vaccine(s) and assist in other immunisation programmes as required. You will be required to vaccinate adults and children.

You are able to choose your shifts and sites through our e-rostering system.

You will be fully briefed and training will be provided on all required vaccines including Covid-19.

In the meantime, you can prepare by ensuring you are up to date with any annual immunisation training as part of your registered professional training.

This advert is for Bank work and you will work as and when required, with flexibility to choose your shifts within the constraints of the service. Please note - if successful you will receive an offer from Croydon Health Services, as the host Trust for the South West London Vaccination Bank.

Main duties of the job

This role forms an integral part of vaccination delivery within South West London and delivers vaccinations to the South West London population via a number of pop-up clinics as an integral part of the Roving immunisations service, you will also be given the opportunity to be involved with other Immunisation Programmes across SWL including School Immunisations and clinics.

The service includes, but is not limited to:

Setting up Pop Up clinics throughout the six boroughs of SW London and providing an outreach service to vulnerable and hard to reach communities as well as those areas underserved by PCN's and Community Pharmacies. This involves ensuring appropriate site risk assessment, ensuring suitably trained and qualified staff to deliver service, transporting necessary equipment and ensuring vaccine cold-chain, recording patient data and vaccination numbers on appropriate systems, periodic audits plus start and end of day set up and clear up.
