Job Description

Currently comprised of three main product lines, GDA uses the latest in advanced analytics to help businesses build and protect trusted relationships with customers. Decision Analytics achieves this in a number of ways, whether that be through business intelligence and strategy to turn complex data into actionable insight or through fraud compliance and management to minimize fraud losses while preserving the customer experience. 
 
GDA is the only global product line and occupies a market leading position in Experian’s main regions across a multitude of industry verticals – notably in financial services, telecommunications and public sector. Competitors include FICO, CRIF, Equifax, IBM, PEGA, SAS and many smaller, niche providers. GDA is split between three divisions; Decisioning, Identity & Fraud and Analytics.

The Role:

The technical Architecture Manager role is a critical position that will for part of the technology leadership group within our Global Delivery Services group; we’re looking for a passionate and seasoned technologist to drive technical architecture activities within the global delivery and support group and to provide technical architecture consultancy and act as an expert in Delivery operations to our Global Software Group and regional stakeholder across the world.

The role will focus on four key areas:

1. Technical architecture and thought leadership:

Ensure that the team provides Technical architecture for cross product solution (covering decisioning products and Experian One cloud solutions), global and regional propositions expertise. Familiarity with application modernization sufficiently to influence and guide team to identify opportunities for optimisation. This covers technical design and integration expertise and aims at defining/validating: 

- Reference architecture

- Design best practices 

- Cross product solutions architecture 

2. Project support for technical architectural concerns (i.e. interface development, DevSecOps, etc):

Act as centre of excellence for DevSecOps, interface and bespoke development within delivery lifecycle, the role will.

- Define best practices for interface development

- Participate to IDP and GTM for integration related topics. Provide input through Integrated development process to allow better deliverability and supportability of integration modules.

- Develop interfaces and bureau links for the regions when required

- Manage an Infosys taskforce to deal with development of interface and support of global integration blocks

- Drive the best practice and knowledge sharing related to the DevSecOps activities in close collaboration with GSG devops groups – Pipeline updates.

3. Innovation and continuous improvement initiatives:

Drive the team to provide technical expertise and architecture to contribute to global and regional improvements initiatives:

- Requirement Automation tool 

- Integration block design and development

- Globalization of regional blocks 

- Regionalization of global blocks

- Support and maintenance of integration blocks

4. People Management:

Directly manage a team of highly skilled Technical Developers, Technical Consultants, Support Consultants and DBA’s as well as 3rd party resource:

- To manage team members ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities

- Providing guidance, direction and mentoring to team

- Setting clear objectives and reviewing progress regularly

- Working closely with other Managers in group to help, guide and have input into process reviews and regular team meetings 

- Working closely with peers across wider Experian group and establishing contacts to meet with regularly

- Positive feedback from peers, managers and clients

- Deliver performing and motivated staff

The ideal candidate will posses most of the following:

• Advanced knowledge of software solution delivery, industry and modernisation best practices.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Customer and output oriented to drive value delivery
• Ability to work with a virtual team and a high number of stakeholders.
• Excellent capacity to transfer knowledge, train and mentor others in a matrix setting. Pro-active knowledge transfer.
• Consultancy skills, being able to elicit the key drivers and requirements from the client and provide the right solution for standard solutions. 
• Effective communication and presentation of propositions and solutions
• Knowledge of Systems Development and Project management disciplines
• Inclined towards collaboration and team-work, with strong analytical and logical approach to draw out pragmatic options
• Ability to build and maintain solid long term relationships.

Technical experience that would be ideal:

And experience with the following would be a bonus:

• Experience in areas such as Java, C/C++, in UNIX and Windows environments.
• OS administrative experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux.
