Technical Network Analyst

Stoke (2-3 days a week in the office)


35-45k


To ensure the continuity of services by providing the support, guidance and technical expertise necessary to resolve 2nd & 3rd line tickets and the deployment of robust, flexible technical solutions in accordance with solution designs.


Technical Analyst – Endpoint

To act as the “product owner” for the Office 365, other Desktop Applications & Windows deployments. Liaise with relevant 3rd parties and develop \ enhance tools, solutions and processes in line with best practise


Technical Analyst – Infrastructure

To act as the “product owner” for the Cloud Technology environments, liaise with relevant 3rd parties and develop \ enhance tools, solutions, and processes in line with best practise


Technical Analyst – Network

To act as the “product owner” For On premise and Cloud network environments, liaise with relevant 3rd parties and develop \ enhance tools, solutions, and processes in line with best practice


General


  • To respond to all incidents in a timely fashion operating within service level agreements, ensuring adherence to all Service Management processes
  • To ensure that all end user incidents are clearly logged in the incident reporting tool, capturing resolution details as appropriate
  • To search documentation and previous requests for assistance on related incidents, looking for trends \ patterns to establish possible solutions
  • To maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed, in line with security policies
  • To aid the systems and test analysis process teams by undertaking testing activities as required on an occasional basis
  • To test innovative solutions and modifications utilising appropriate hardware and software environments, as required, ensuring that all testing is undertaken in line with agreed company processes and standards
  • To ensure compliance with the company change management processes as required
  • To recommend process or working practice changes to the management team to help remove redundant or over-engineered processes
  • To maintain up to date knowledge base articles, and maintain application documentation (e.g. user guides) as required


Specific to this role - Technical Analyst – Networking


  • Demonstrable experience of on prem and Azure network management and support.
  • Extensive knowledge of DHCP and DNS.
  • Design, implement and maintain the company's network infrastructure both On-Prem and Cloud
  • Excellent knowledge of development, design and operation of cloud network services
  • Monitor the network using monitoring tool and take proactive measures to prevent network outages and performance issues
  • Manage Wi-Fi in a large office environment and ensure that wireless network performance meets business requirements
  • Expert know-how in the area of Azure Networking
  • Excellent understanding of end-to-end network connectivity
  • Demonstrable experience with network security principles.
  • Assist with advanced user, and systems administration tasks including Active Directory, Office 365, and Remote Desktop Services.
  • To manage and apply software and security updates to server OS and applications.
  • To help organise IT implementation and roll-out projects across the business
  • Act as a point of escalation for more complex tickets to assist in seeing these through to their resolution
  • To act as a mentor to onboarding new staff, training them on, infrastructure, IT processes and certificate management.
