The Technical Trainer is a highly visible function at LogicMonitor. This key position will lead the adoption, validation and subject matter expertise for product updates and new features with the goal of maintaining technical proficiency on the LogicMonitor platform for customers and sits within the Professional Services team. The primary role of this position is to provide an engaging and results driven training curriculum, as well as expertise on new features for active projects, to increase speed to productivity and provide engaging learning experiences for our customers aligned to their level of expertise within the LM Envision platform

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Keep up to date with product roadmap delivery and vision to ensure our strategy and execution of technical functionality as it relates to business value can be explained to customers and prospects
  • Regularly stay informed on product updates and consult with Services Leadership on services approach for incorporating new LogicMonitor platform features and enhancements to expand, improve or optimize pre-packaged Professional Services offerings to our customers both existing and new
  • Assist in creation, and delivery of training programs and curriculum (classroom, online, or informal) to provide continual growth and development opportunities for paid customer training engagements at all experience levels
  • Assist in scoping and building technical training solutions to customer training requirements
  • Demonstrate the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems, and translates specific customer problems into technical solutions
  • Report back on common customer training requirements and areas of improvement required within current service offerings
What You'll Need:

Must Have

  • 2+ years of experienceworking as an IT professional supporting one or more domains of IT infrastructure: server, network, security, storage, virtualization, cloud leveraging best practice processes such as ITIL
  • 1+ years of full-time experience as a Groovy, PowerShell, or Python developer
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical training role (classroom/virtual/on demand)
  • Strong understanding for REST APIs
  • Understanding of container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Familiar with AWS services, other cloud platforms
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in numerous technologies and key concepts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting instincts and undaunted by unfamiliar tools
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years developing technical training content in any format
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience working effectively as part of a distributed team
  • A history of successful speaking engagements, industry influence and / or recognition in technology publications
  • Previous experience with LogicMonitor or an ITSM tool
  • ITIL fundamentals certification
