The Role
Here at Swayne and Partners, we are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. This is a very exciting opportunity to join our small, 4 vet team in the historic market town of Long Melford in Suffolk.
The rota will include working four days a week 08:30 am – 19:00 pm. You will be able to build your own client base with regular 15-minute consultation blocks with time to work up cases and carry out surgical procedures.
Salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Swayne and Partners established in the 1970s have grown into a multi-site practice offering exceptional standards of care to our patients.
We have our own 24/7 staffed site situated less than 20 miles from each of our branches which can provide intensive care to those patients requiring hospitalisation.
We pride ourselves on providing a personal, traditional service with the benefit of modern techniques and technology. You will be part of the weekend rota at our central surgery in Bury St Edmunds which operates on a 1:4 to 1:6 basis working day shifts. We provide our own emergency service to our own clients as well as other local practices giving you the opportunity to expand and develop your experience with emergency cases and complex inpatients.
Swayne and Partners have a range of up-to-date diagnostic equipment at each branch which allows for extensive workups and excellent in-house care. The Bury St Edmunds surgery also has a CT scanner which is available for more complex imaging.
About the Team and Culture
The Long Melford team comprises 4 FTE Veterinary Surgeons who are supported by a team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and receptionists. We have multiple certificate holders within the practice and encourage further education.
